We are one of the largest dairy complexes in New Zealand, and are looking for a Dairy Production Manager (2IC) for Quest, one of our larger farms on the complex. Located in the gorgeous Central Plateau and mere minutes away from one of the most desirable outdoor-living locations in the country, you’ll be able to do what you love in a supported environment.
Quest comprises 430 ha and milks 900 cows at peak for seasonal supply with a 54 bale rotary.
You will be a good communicator, have a demonstrated ability to meet targets, be enthusiastic and feel comfortable in setting a good example for others. As 2IC, you will take on a degree of responsibility for feed allocation and budgeting, animal health and breeding, animal records, and staff guidance and supervision.
You will bring:Minimum 3-4 years dairy farming experience

First class attitude to Health and Safety and Animal Welfare
The ability to work unsupervised in a team environment
A desire and ability to lead and support your co-workers, including when the Farm Manager is away
Some computer skills and a willingness to learn

Excellent time and communication skills
Current and full NZ drivers licence
