The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi The Cybersecurity Awareness and Training Specialist is responsible for designing and delivering the University of Auckland Cybersecurity Awareness and Training programme. The specialist will develop and maintain curriculum and various communications for the University of Auckland Cybersecurity Awareness and Training programme. This will include implementation of training and serving as a Subject Matter Expert for curriculum development and curriculum maintenance. The specialist will be required to stay current and abreast of changing business and cybersecurity requirements and where appropriate incorporate these updates into curriculum.

Accountabilities:
Serve as a subject matter expert, promoting cybersecurity education and awareness.
Work effectively at a distance.
Training:
Understand the differing needs of our various communities, identify appropriate training and awareness resources to best fit.
Commission, extend, enhance or revise training material.
Design and conduct training programmes that incorporate in-person training, online delivery and assessment.
Manage training records in the learning management system, and report on the delivery and effectiveness of training.
Awareness:
Draft an annual cybersecurity communication plan
Design and communicate the value of Cybersecurity throughout all levels of the University’s stakeholders through awareness campaigns.
Draft all internal cybersecurity communications and related programme materials using internal branding, such as newsletters, emails and other internal channels for the purpose of communicating cybersecurity awareness and training information to staff members and students.
About you | He korero mou
Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in communication, engagement, or training.
5-7 years’ experience communicating technical topics to a wide variety of audiences.
Experience in communications concerning cybersecurity or online risks.
Ability to design and mature technical training efforts.
Displays integrity, professionalism, adaptability.
Communicates with clarity, using constructive interpersonal behaviours and interactions to influence others.
