Customer Support - Engineering

About the opportunity:

Our longstanding client is in search of a Customer Support - Engineering to join their team. A great balance of technical engineering and management, the purpose of this role is to help extend their growing business. There may be travel involved for those at a more senior level.
Role description:

The role is to support customer enquiries in a sales service function as well as being able to go out and service sites. You will need to be able to build a strong understanding of customer requirements, selection of products or services to supply costing, pricing, sales and managing procurement.
Responsibilities will include:

Provide strong customer service
Install machines in customers' premises
Ensure understanding of product requirement
Plan, control, and support machine supply, installation and equipment upgrade
This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities:

Knowledge of CNC steel fabrication, sheet metal profile cutting, laser/plasma cutting
Experience with a range of CNC programmes and machine electronics
Experience in customer orders and inventory management systems preferred
Ability to positively and effectively communicate with customers
Great interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
