Customer Service Team Leader - Milford Sound

A rare opportunity has arisen to join our talented Cruise and Ticketing Operations Team in Milford Sound, as a Customer Service Team Leader. In this role you will be responsible for managing a our ticketing desk to deliver outstanding service to all of our guests arriving into Milford Sound for our cruises, kayaking excursions, and Underwater Observatory visits.

We are URGENTLY seeking a candidate with the following skills, experience, and attributes:

Minimum 2 years' customer service experience, with evidence of supervisory skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and good computer skills, preferably with experience of reservations systems such as IBIS
Fluent in written and spoken English
NZ drivers licence (ideally able to drive manual vehicles), small P Licence an advantage
Experience dealing with customer complaints
Experience with customers and staff of diverse nationalities
Ability to lead a team, and motivate, encourage and mentor staff individually
Experience working in an fast-paced operational environment
Able to work under pressure - unflappable!
Great telephone manner
Comfortable on and around boats
Highly organised and solutions-focused

The role is all about ensuring our Milford Sound guests have an amazing, once in a lifetime experience in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. We have a lot of fun, but we also work very hard, ensuring our guests feel welcomed and cared for at all times.

In return you will receive training in the specifics of the role from our highly-experienced Cruise Operations Manager, uniform, your own room in subsidised accommodation, and access to a fully stocked communal kitchen. We work a roster of 10 days on and 4 days off (no evening work required), to give you the opportunity to explore this stunning region.
