Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development) We are looking for a Cultural Partner to join our Taranaki team.As a cultural partner, you will be working closely with the Taranaki team and other cultural partners across the regions in providing tikanga me reo Maori guidance and support across the Pinnacle MHN work programmes, encompassing the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and ensuring te ao Maori approaches are embedded and aligned with Pinnacle's strategy and He Ara Whakamua, our Maori strategy. We would welcome your input into the development of our cultural competencies' framework.Ideally, you will be local to the Taranaki area with strong ties to the community as you will also support our Pinnacle team to ensure positive engagement with Maori, hapu and iwi.This is a permanent part time role working 7.5 hours per week (0.2FTE).Shared values of:Whakawhanaungatanga (connection) - through relationships we develop understanding.Akoranga (learning), - We invest heavily in the continued learning and growth of our tangata (people).Mahi tahi (collaboration and partnership) – we passionately pursue our purpose of making it easier for people to stay healthy and achieve equitable health outcomes for all. We exist to make it easier for people to stay healthy, and you can see this in the work we do to simplify access to primary healthcare and address equity barriers.Hauora (health and wellbeing) - through flexible working, the offer of medical insurance, EAP services, and free flu vaccinations.Experience working with whanau, hapu and iwi.Proven ability to engage effectively with Maori and non-Maori and advise on health equity focused approaches.Ability to develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with stakeholders to help enable effective partnering to respond to the needs of Maori.Experience in dealing with and/or strong knowledge of issues that impact Maori health inequalities.Capability to interact and lead with confidence within a cultural environment practicing Maori values.Pinnacle has made an explicit commitment to Maori and our communities to improve equity of health and wellbeing, in accordance with Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
