The role offers a varied and exciting workday where you can look beyond the numbers and add real value to our business.What you'll do:As a Corporate Accountant based in Wellington, your day will be filled with diverse tasks that go beyond traditional accounting. You'll take charge of the Sales General and Administrative side of our business while also handling accounting duties for one of our subsidiaries. Your role will involve preparing information for various reports, assisting with annual financial statements, supporting during audits, and overseeing tax responsibilities. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in budgeting and forecasting processes. One of your key roles will be building strong relationships within our teams to ensure we deliver top-notch services to our customers.Take responsibility and ownership of the Sales General and Administrative (SG&A) side of the businessWork as a company accountant for one of our subsidiary companies with the support of an assistant accountantPrepare information for monthly, quarterly, and annual reportingAssist in the preparation of annual financial statementsSupport the team during the annual external audit processAssist with the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process including responsibility for the SG&A areas and related financial modelsOversee tax responsibilities including GST, FBT and income taxBuild strong relationships with both internal teams to assist in delivering high-quality services to our customersWhat you'll bring:The ideal candidate for this Corporate Accountant position is a Chartered Accountant with at least three years of post-qualification experience. You should have strong systems and financial modelling skills, including proficiency in Excel and ERP systems. Your analytical abilities should be top-notch, with a keen eye for detail. A significant part of your role will involve developing and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, so excellent interpersonal skills are a must.
