Details of the offer

Job duties  of the position offered – Responsible to cook and seasoning varieties of Indian dishes Presenting dishes as per the requirement of the dish Undertake the seasoning and cooking of food as per the standards Portioning and plating the food as per the standards Prepare the gravies and sauces as per the business requirements Required to check fresh food from various ethnic ingredients. Assist in developing recipes & determine how to present the food. Prepare the food as per the special dietary requirements of the customers Determining the serving sizes and quality of meals Maintain Tandoor (Charcoal Oven) in working state Regulating temperatures of cooking equipment like grills and tandoor ovens Store food in right temperature with the usage of chillier and freezer Maintaining hygiene at all times Clean and keep the kitchen as required by NZ standards Preparing food as per the customers with dietary requirements Ensuring excellent and consistent meals are delivered to guests all the time Train other kitchen staff whenever required Job details - Work location: Lower Hutt, Wellington Hours: 30 hours per week or more Number of positions: 1 Requirements of the position offered -  Able to cook Jain food and meet the requirements of satvik food Able to cook Indian Mithai and Indian Namkeen Dry Snacks 1 years of work experience in ethnic food or higher secondary school qualification Experience in Tandoor and Curry style of cooking is an advantage Be flexible to work daily split shifts (Lunch & dinner) and weekends where required. Be available to work on weekends and public holidays as per the roster Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with good communication skills and team spirit Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand.
