Our ClientI am delighted to be working on behalf of an esteemed local Canterbury firm, recruiting for an exciting newly created role to support their growing conveyancing practice.Based in the Eastern suburbs of the City Centre, this firm offers the unique balance of quality and busy property work, with easily accessible free parking options and a relaxed office atmosphere.The firm as a whole has a clear focus on fostering a collaborative, inclusive and balanced work environment, with plenty of social, CSR and networking opportunities, including several wellbeing and flexible-working incentives.About the OpportunityIn this role you will be responsible for supporting two senior authors as leaders in the team, as well as a wider team of 2-3 busy junior-intermediate lawyers on an ad-hoc basis. Your inter-personal skills and high-attention to detail will be a highly regarded quality as you will be working as part of a wider team and liaising with clients directly.This firm ensures that the legal support staff work as part of a tight knit team. This firm is big on celebrating everyone's success. In this role you will be a key member in supporting the busy property team.Key responsibilities include:Opening & closing files.Drafting letters of engagement.Scheduling appointments & diary management.Proofreading legal documents, including S&P agreements.Managing conveyancing deadlines.Liaising with agents, banks, and opposing parties.Communicating with clients about updates regarding transactions or processes.Liason with the firm's trust account.AML compliance.Monthly billing.As a newly created role, the team is looking for someone that has the right attitude and is willing to go the extra mile to work with senior staff to bring their full skillset and ideas to the table to ensure a seamless and efficient client experience.This is a rare opportunity to be mentored and work closely with two superb authors amongst a tight-knit team, particularly for budding legal executives. The firm's emphasis on PD as a whole will ensure that you will be supported to develop your career further and will be working across exciting and fast-paced work.About YouThis firm is looking for an emerging professional and experienced administrator with a vested interest in property law. You will have a minimum of 6-months working in a private practice legal environment with some exposure to conveyancing files, LINZ, and e-dealings.
