Christchurch, 8140TemporaryContracts AdvisorResearch & InnovationDeputy Vice-Chancellor’s OfficeFull-time at 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE)Fixed-Term position (for 6 months)What You Will DoThe role of Contracts Advisor is to provide professional contracting services, as part of R&I's end-to-end services that facilitate and support research and innovation at UC. The role reports to the Director of Research Services and collaborates with academic staff, Colleges, Financial Services, Human Resources and the Research & Innovation team to competently fulfill the role.Who You AreTo be successful in this role you will have a Bachelor’s Degree and extensive experience in:contracting, preferably research contracting, or managing funded research contracts
administration and relationship management
providing advice to relevant parties on policies and procedural guidelines
creating and managing project budgets or accounting
operating database systems and competency in Microsoft Office programmes
Ideally, you will have experience working in a research or tertiary institute and be familiar with tertiary policies and systems such as research management systems and/or Oracle.Who You Will Work WithThe Research & Innovation team within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor’s Office supports and provides over-arching vision and leadership within UC’s award-winning and prestigious research arena.
