About the role: We are looking for a specific skillset in EARTHWORKS and RIVERS FLOOD PROTECTION in our next Contract Manager to join our Construction team based in Blenheim and covering the wider Marlborough area.The focus of this role will be to support our team and clients with practical knowledge of heavy earthworks, river diversions, armour rock walls and rock groynes. We have a lot of skill and fantastic operators and foremen already in these areas through our construction teams. We are looking to add another hands on, practical knowledge based person into our management team.This role will include developing client relationships and problem-solving earthworks and river protection problems for these clients and supporting our teams through construction of these works. The main emphasis of the role is very strong hands-on technical experience with heavy earthworks and rivers flood protection combined with strong people management, training/mentoring and relationship skills.The beautiful and sunny Marlborough region, is experiencing enormous growth with multiple nationally significant projects valued $500m plus running concurrently over the next 5 to 10 years.There is significant flood damage to our region affecting local roads, state highways, vineyards, stopbanks and much more.If you want to make a difference and be recognised and valued for your specific hard earnt experience in earthworks and river flood protection works, then this could be the role for you.Duties will include:Take a leading role in the investigation, negotiation and securing new workManage and build relationships with Isaac team members, clients, consultants, subcontractors and local authoritiesProject manage works under your control including project documentation and budget, resource management, liaison with clients, consultants, subcontractors and Local AuthoritiesProvide practical knowledge and experience in earthworks and rivers flood protection works to some of our other Contract Managers, clients and to our ground teams.Support and mentor our internal staff in earthworks and river works skillsetsKey Skills & Experience:A proven track record working in leadership positions such as Foreman, Supervisor or Contract Manager specifically experienced in earthworks and river flood protection.Strong people management, training/mentoring and relationship skills.Strong earthworks machine operating experience and skills.Not Essential, but highly desirable skills for the role are office and computer skills, contract management skills and pricing skills.In Return, We Offer: Joining the Isaac Construction family means securing your place in a vibrant and supportive work environment.
