This isn't your standard sales role, as the 'Consumer Channel Manager' represents a significant opportunity to spearhead growth. You will provide a link between the field and the wider management team with strategic and operational impact across both the market in New Zealand and Australia.

About the role: Reporting directly to the CEO, this role assumes responsibility for the development and achievement growth for the hardware, rural, automotive and merchant channels with exposure to the New Zealand grocery sector. Manage and lead a team of direct reports to ensure the effective sales growth of your channel (Area Managers and Merchandiser)You will engage at Head Office level across key stores working on key initiatives across ranging, promotions, new product introduction driving a growth strategy.Identify and engage with end-user prospects to secure product specifications and establish supply through your existing resellersYou will be seen as a product expert in the business, keeping abreast of the competitive landscape in the business (both within New Zealand and Australia). Whilst there are a number of strong established relationships across the channels you will continue to hunt out new client and product opportunities. Work closely with the management team to continuously identify areas and strategies for growthAbout you: You enjoy collaboration and have a 'solution-based' approach to salesIt is preferable you have a background in the hardware or automotive industry and are a highly motivated sales professional. You enjoy collaboration and have a 'solution-based' approach to salesYou can demonstrate that you have broken into a category, have presented ranges and can secure new opportunities. You have the ability, and opportunity, to navigate and influence a supply chain that encompasses health & safety and procurement.You are adept at managing multiple priorities at any one time and do so with easeYou are able to travel to Australia approximately 3-4 times per year and national travel as required.
