Permanent or Fixed-Term Full-time 80 hours per fortnight (1.0FTE) The Mental Health and Addiction Service at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand, Te Matau a Maui Hawke's Bayhave an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist – Child, Adolescent and Family Service (CAFS). Mental healthservices in Hawke'sBay are centred around two large community teams, with a kaupapa Maori mental health service provided by an NGO partner and satellite teams in the smaller population centres. Within the service are Child and Family, Home Based Treatment, Maternal Mental Health, Te Ara Manapou, Consultation-Liaison, Emergency Mental Health teams, Older Persons and Addiction services.We are a small welcoming service (currently 14 Psychiatrists for 182,700 total population). The in-patient unit is on the Regional Hospital campus in Hastings and features high and medium intensity treatment areas as well as an intensive day treatment unit. Local residential addictions treatment service is provided in Napier and an opioid substitution programme is provided in both major population centres Mental health services work closely with primary care and NGO providers to create individual care packages for patients and some specialist services, such as forensic care, are provided on a regional basis. Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital is situated in Hastings, New Zealand. It is a large secondary level, 400 bed accredited public hospital providing acute and elective care for a region of over 182,000 people. The hospital is a modern facility with a full range of surgical, medical, oncology and radiological services. It's a busy enough hospital for a diverse range of clinical challenges, but small enough for you to know every SMO in the hospital and feel welcomed into the Hawke's Bay community.
