We have a flexible structure whereby the role will commence in the in-patient unit and rotate to community over time. The role is based in Rotorua but could involve some in reach to the satellite office in Taupo. We are embedding our new model of care Te Ara Tauwhirotanga: pathways that lead us to act with kindness. Te Ara Tauwhirotanga is the product of extensive co-design with over 400 participants from the Lakes DHB community, a model that clearly articulates what works for people in their recovery and healing journey. You can read more here You can read more here .  The successful candidate will have: • A broad range of general psychiatric skills • Hold or be eligible for Vocational Registration with Medical Council of NZ • Enjoy teaching – Rotorua is a teaching hospital with 4th, 5th and 6th year medical students as well as registrars training for fellowship with the RANZCP The role: • Busy role with a broad variety of general psychiatry • 1:7 on call roster Ko wai matou / Who we are Te Whatu Ora Lakes provides healthcare from its two modern and progressive general hospitals in Rotorua and Taupo, New Zealand.
