Consent Planner - Subdivision

The Tasman region is thriving and we need a Planner to assist us in our resource consenting role as a Unitary Authority.

This is a fabulous opportunity to join a team of dedicated and experienced Consent Planners, and to take a meaningful part in shaping our communities and environment for the benefit of future generations.

Your focus will be on subdivision consenting, associated land use consents and to ensure we meet our statutory resource management obligations. You will have experience processing LIM's, PIM's, S223 and S224's, approvals for subdivision consents and may, from time to time, be required to present reports and evidence to Council, Environment Court hearings, and to other forums. While the position is currently based in Richmond, we will allow an experienced Planner to be located at our Motueka office if they wish.

It goes without saying that you will have great communication skills, dealing confidently with resource consent applicants, providing accurate advice, and acting as a duty planner on a routine basis. This is a permanent full time role although we may be able to offer flexibility in working hours to the successful applicant. To be successful you will hold a degree in planning, resource or environmental management, or associated field and be familiar with the RMA and consent processing and compliance requirements. Experience with Landonline for subdivision approvals would also be an advantage.
