We're looking for a compliance specialist to navigate the complex regulatory landscape and ensure business processes are robust and align seamlessly with industry best practices. There will be plenty of scope, variety and challenge here. You will be hands-on and a key lynchpin collaborating across the team. You will quickly gain in-depth understanding of the operating environment and provide solid advice and guidance to all staff on compliance related matters. The scope of your work is broad, ranging from being responsible for the compliance components of both lending and investment transactions, leading AML and CFT assessment and reporting, ensuring all documentation, registers, and record keeping is appropriate and meets the requirements of the FMA, through to being the conduit and liaison point for key stakeholders, such as the senior management team, Board of Directors, FMA, and legal providers as required. This role also has responsibility as the business privacy officer and supporting the complaints management processes. To be successful, you will have a special mix of compliance capability, attention to detail, pragmatism, and responsiveness. Your exceptional communication skills and passion for compliance will shine through from the get-go. You must bring well-established experience of leading compliance activities within the banking, financial service, insurance or the legal sectors.
