Job Description Pact is currently looking for a permanent part time Community Support Worker to work in our Supported Independent living service in Invercargill. The role We are looking for enthusiastic, community-minded, and compassionate people to work alongside people with intellectual disabilities. We focus on self-development, where you will have a chance to train and gain further education on the job, which enhances your CV within the organisation. Our starting rate is $24.78 an hour and increases to $29.10 after completing your Career Force Level 4 qualification with us, which is on job-based training. We offer a lot of training which ensures you have the skills to be the best support person within Pact. Key Responsibilities Your days may vary, but will consist of: Engaging with clients. Setting and achieving individual personal goals Supporting them with activities of daily living Ensuring support with medication and considering client needs Supporting clients with personal hygiene Activities within the community Supporting social and whanau connection Motivating clients to know they have a purpose Ensuring client processes are accurately documented Most importantly supporting them to have fun and live fulfilling lives We are looking for someone who follows the company's values of being Vibrant, Innovative, Supportive and Professional…. Part-time position at present shifts are Sunday to Tuesday As we operate 24/7, hours of work will include day, evening, weekend, awake night and sleepover shifts. Desired Skills and Experience No qualifications are needed, however, there will be an expectation that you will be willing to work towards a Level 4 in Health & Disability. You will inspire, encourage, and be a role model plus have excellent interpersonal skills and a 'can do' attitude.
