Job Description Role 629 Pact is currently looking for permanent Community Support Worker to work in our intellectual disability residential service in Cromwell The role Do you follow our company's values to SUPPORT people to lead fulfilling lives in the community? Support Work is fun, people facing, challenging and very rewarding! We have a new service opening in Cromwell and are looking for vibrant energetic people to help support our clients. We offer, morning, evening, weekend and overnight shifts. This means we have flexibility and can accommodate you around your busy life schedule. Our vacancies range from part-time, weekend or casual work, to full time 80 hours a fortnight on a permanent roster. The job entails you to engage with clients from all walks of life, to enable them to live every day to their fullest. You will need to support them with varied tasks & goals. Your days may vary, but will consist of: Engaging with clients. Setting and achieving individual personal goals Encouraging client participation in day to day life Supporting them with activities of daily living Ensuring support with medication and considering client needs Supporting clients with personal hygiene Activities within the community Supporting social and whanau connection Motivating clients to know they have purpose Ensuring client processes are accurately documented Most importantly supporting them to have fun and live fulfilling lives We focus on self-development, where you will have a chance to train and gain further education on the job, which enhances your CV within the organisation. Our starting rate is $24.78 an hour and increases to $29.10 after completing your Career Force Level 4 qualification with us, which is on the job based training. We offer a lot of training which ensures you have the skills to be the best support person within Pact. We have longevity within our teams, the ability to move around services or departments. Here at Pact we work as a team everyone is a vital link in the chain. Are you our missing link? Part time - Friday, Saturday and Sunday 3.00pm to 11pm  As we operate 24/7, hours of work will include day, evening, weekend, awake night and sleepover shifts. Desired Skills and Experience No qualifications needed, however there will be an expectation that you will be willing to work towards a Level 4 in Health & Disability. You will inspire, encourage, be a role model plus have excellent interpersonal skills and a 'can do' attitude.
