Our team of passionate staff journey alongside individuals to support them in setting and achieving their goals.We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting people with a high and complex needs to lead fulfilling lives in the community.Our services provide a safe and positive environment where our clients are assisted to achieve maximum independence.Job Description Pact is currently looking for a casual Community Support Worker to work in our intellectual disability residential service in Wanaka.The RoleYour role will include supporting the clients to participate in meaningful activities in the community, support with daily house tasks, and assistance with personal hygiene. Further assisting in gaining and maintaining social, health, education, whanau and cultural reconnection.Excellent communication and networking skills and the ability to build and sustain working relationships with clients, staff and external agencies is essential. Previous professional experience in the intellectual disability field will be an advantage.Key ResponsibilitiesYour days may vary, but will consist of:Engaging with clients.Setting and achieving individual personal goalsSupporting them with activities of daily livingEnsuring support with medication and considering client needsSupporting clients with personal hygieneActivities within the communitySupporting social and whanau connectionMotivating clients to know they have a purposeEnsuring client processes are accurately documentedMost importantly supporting them to have fun and live fulfilling livesAs we operate 24/7, hours of work will include day, evening, weekend, awake night and sleepover shifts.Desired Skills and Experience Pact is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to work alongside people with an intellectual disability who will inspire, encourage, be a role model, plus have excellent interpersonal skills and a 'can do' attitude.A full driver's licence and computer skills are essential.If on a work visa, this must be valid for at least twelve months#J-18808-Ljbffr
