We work together every day to shape a community and create a city that we can be truly proud of.The Parks Unit within the Christchurch City Council has an exciting future ahead as it relays the foundations of a world-class environment for future generations, much as the founding residents of this City did to create the remarkable parks network we enjoy today.If you're passionate about enhancing our open spaces community parks open spaces, then this job is for you!We're seeking a motivated Community Partnerships Ranger based within the Council's Community Parks team to develop and enhance our parks and open spaces.About youYou'll be a self-starter, focusing your efforts on engaging with community groups, volunteers and passionate individuals that are contributing to our community parks.Proficient in report writing and public speaking, you are able to engage with small community groups and large corporate organisations and everyone in between.A natural problem solver and a clear, effective communicator will allow you to set our stakeholders up to succeed.RequirementsTertiary qualification at Bachelor Degree level in one of the natural sciences and/or relevant experienceExperience working with community groups, not for profits and volunteersFull NZ Class 1 Drivers licenceProven ability to engage, motivate and follow up will hold you in high regardWorking for the Christchurch City Council allows you to contribute directly to the community and make a positive impact on the lives of residents and visitors.
