About the role:

You will have experience providing comprehensive assessments and risk management plans, formulating and articulating treatment needs and plans, and be able to coordinate and prioritise acute crisis referrals. You will also be required to work toward becoming a Duly Authorised Officer (DAO) to facilitate and coordinate the Mental Health Act (MHA).
You will be working for an experienced team who strive to provide high quality care for tangata whaiora/consumers and their family/whanau that may require access to mental health services.
The ideal applicant will have worked for at least 4 years as a registered mental health nurse and have acute/community mental health and addiction experience. Recent experience in mental health telephone triage/acute crisis work will be an advantage. Knowledge of the Hutt Valley and Wellington region would be an advantage, but not essential. You must be registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council and consent to a police vetting process under the Vulnerable Children’s Act 2014. Please note this is a 3DHB position and you will be rostered to work across all bases on a rotating basis.
Essential Requirements:
At least four years mental health nursing experience.
Have experience in working in both a mental health community and inpatient setting.
Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse.
A current practising certificate.
Driver Licence.
About the service:
The Crisis Resolution Service (CRS) is a 24 hour Community Mental Health and Addiction Team working across the Hutt Valley and Wellington Region. CRS is part of the Mental Health, Addictions & Intellectual Disability Service & responds to the acute needs of people across the life span, who are experiencing psychological distress and require immediate intervention in our community.
CRS has 3 bases at Kenepuru Hospital, Wellington ED and Hutt Hospital. We are seeking experienced mental health nurses with at least 4 years experience in both mental Health inpatient and community settings. To work full-time rostered and rotating including night duties
