Mo te turanga | About the Role: The Community Engagement Manager has responsibility for increasing public impact by leading the funding and partnership relationships as well as building strong connections into diverse communities, with a focus on Maori and Pacific communities. The role drives the community engagement work programme, including our public policy agenda and is an advocate for community perspectives. A key focus of this role is to continue to build a diverse membership base and to drive effective engagement with our members. Some travel will be required. Mou | About You: Because you can be based anywhere in the motu, you'll have experience managing a team remotely, be a self-starter and able to work autonomously. You'll be recognised as a strategic leader who inspires and provides direction with a passion for supporting others and a commitment to equity. You will have experience of building strong community connections using both on-line and in-person techniques. And have a strong working knowledge of the key drivers of success through partnerships, strong sector connections, in particular within Maori tech and Maori communities. Along with a demonstrated understanding of te ao Maori and the ability to drive the organisation's Te Tiriti o Waitangi mahi, you may have experience working within an Agile environment and an understanding of public policy as it relates to the internet.
