Community Engagement Administrator (Fixed Term 35hrs) - Waipa Work for the most trusted charity and support your local community 6 months fixed term part-time position, working 35 hours per week with flexible arrangements Salary + ambulance cover for you & family + many more staff benefits About the role We have a great opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our Central West Community Engagement team on a fixed term basis, working 35 hours per week. This role is based in Waipa, we offer a hybrid working model and you will be provided with a laptop and mobile phone to enable you to work flexibly. Travel may be required from time to time, so a full clean driver's licence is essential. Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, a fundamental part of this role is about providing high level administrative support to our local Area Committees in the Waipa King Country District include  Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Otorohanga, Piopio, Bennydale, Putaruru, Te Kuiti and Taumaranui.    Hato Hone St John Area Committees are made up of highly valued Tuao (volunteers) who have a strong community focus. Therefore, we are seeking someone who brings equal passion for meeting community needs and has the ability to easily build strong relationships with Area Committees, internal and external stakeholders. You will provide financial support, assist with grant applications, query resolution, manage budgets, develop community impact plans, and coordinate with support networks for the Area Committees. Additionally, you will assist in community engagement activities, facilitate learning opportunities, organise District Forums, participate in promotional and fundraising efforts, process and authorise invoice payments, oversee property maintenance, and handle general administrative tasks. You will also write pieces to be included in the regional newsletter and social media with high standard of written English. An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi is desirable as is a good knowledge of and affinity with tikanga Maori and Te Reo - if not, a genuine willingness to learn is required.
