Community and Justice Liaison Nurse Youth - Maori Clinician at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley, Manawatu Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Whatu Ora - Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District Location: Manawatu Service: Regional Forensic Psychiatric Services Contract: Permanent, Full time Salary: $66,570- $95,340 PSA - based on skills and experience The regional arm of Te Korowai-Whariki includes the Central Regional Forensic Mental HealthService which operates at the interface between Mental Health Services and the Justice Systemand works within the following settings - prisons, courts, community, and inpatient. The Serviceoffers assessment and rehabilitation services toDefendants charges with criminal offences andOffenders who have psychiatric illness. Our registered nurses provide liaison and consultation to and between Youth Courts, Prisons, Youth Justice Departments, Child Youth and Family, Mental Health, Police, Government and Community Agencies on mental health and addiction matters and the management of associated problems within the identified agency. They utilises clinical and medical-legal knowledge and skills to provide a quality rapid assessment of those persons identified as having or who may have a mental health and addiction problem.
