Job Description: We are seeking a talented Communications Specialist to join our dynamic team at Xero in Wellington, New Zealand. As a Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies to promote our brand and engage with our stakeholders. You will work closely with various teams within the organization to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication across all channels. Responsibilities:- Develop and execute communication strategies to support company objectives- Create engaging content for various communication channels, including social media, press releases, and marketing materials- Manage relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure positive coverage- Monitor and analyze media coverage and social media metrics to track the effectiveness of communication strategies- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure messaging is consistent across all channels- Assist with crisis communication strategies as needed- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communications Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, or related field- 3 years of experience in a communications role- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Ability to work independently and in a team environment- Excellent leadership and persuasion skills- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms- Experience working with media outlets and journalists is a plus Personality traits: Independent, hardworking Soft skills: Leadership, persuasion Benefits:- Paid sick leave- Travel & spending expenses- Parental leave Working environment:At Xero, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues worldwide, fostering a global village mentality.
