Marketing Communications (Marketing & Communications)Reporting to : Chief Financial Officer / Corporate Services DirectorDivision : Finance and GovernanceLocation : WellingtonSalary Range : $100,000 to $105,000Summary:The Communications Advisor will develop and implement communications programmes to help build the social licence (including support from Iwi/Maori) for the Predator Free 2050 mission. The role is intended to work very closely with the team at the Predator Free New Zealand Trust to ensure that communications are aligned.Te ahua o te turunga | The nature of the positionCollaborate with the PFNZ Trust, DOC and other PF2050 stakeholders to tell the story of the PF2050 mission and actively build social licenceDevelop and implement the communication strategy in a highly cost effective manner.Create content to support the PF2050 Mission, including EDMs, blogs/stories, social media, and other design elements.Commission content from external providers as needed, including photography, graphics, video and written content.Manage a monthly newsletter to stakeholdersManage the Company's website content in Wordpress and electronic mailouts via Mailchimp.Manage the relationship with the media including actively promoting the PF2050 mission and work of the company to media outlets.Collaborate on a social media strategy in support of the PF2050 missionProvide reports, or contribute to reports, for quarterly, monthly, annual or occasional deadlines in an accurate, balanced and timely manner.Predator Free 2050 Limited is a Crown-owned, charitable company established to help deliver the New Zealand governments ambitious goal of eradicating possums, mustelids, and rats by 2050.Providing funding to enable predator control and eradication projects at large landscape scale, as well as supporting the breakthrough science to underpin them. Currently investment totals over $75 million of total project costs. This huge undertaking has people all over Aotearoa taking part - backyard trapping, planting natives, volunteering, and donating. This movement brings together expertise from Maori, government, businesses, NGO's, and communities.Following a restructure of the Company to reduce operating expenses and streamline processes, a vacancy currently exists for a Communications Advisor reporting to the CFO/Corporate Services Director.
