Muka Tangata is one of six WorkforceDevelopment Councils (WDCs)created under the Education and Training Act2020 to provide industrywith greater leadership acrossvocational education. We represent industries including Apiculture, Arable, Dairy farming, Equine, Greyhound andRacing, Forestry, Fruit, Grapes and Wine, Nursery, Turf and Gardening, Poultry,Pigs and other livestock farming, Seafood, Sheep, Beef, Deer and Wool farming,Support Services, Vegetables and Veterinary Services and Animal Care.

Te ahua o Te Turunga – The nature of the position We seek a highly motivated, culturally adeptCommunications Advisor to help us develop anddeliver strategic communications and documents such as our Annual Report.

This is an opportunity to developand deliver high-quality, accurate communication materials that will connectauthentically with our audiences and partners.

As well as providing advice, youwill bring your skills to establish and maintain a variety of different workingrelationships, within Muka Tangata, across WDCs and across our diversestakeholder network.

This is a unique opportunity to bring yourcommunication skills to the table and make your mark in a new and growingorganisation. 
This is a 6-month fixed term role.
You will have highly developed communication skillscoupled with a professional, positive, flexible and diplomatic approach to problem solving.You will be able tobring excellent writingskills and experience writingfor different audiences whiledemonstrating a good understanding of engagementand communications within, ideally, an educational context.

A core knowledge of, or a keen willingness to learn about Te Tiriti o Waitangi is essential to success in this role.
