About us For over 125 years, T&G Fresh has nourished generations of Kiwis with fresh fruit and vegetables. We grow, pack, market, sell, distribute, import and export fresh produce from our own orchards and farms, as well as from over 700 Kiwi growers.
We aredelighted to share that T&G is set to acquire Hinton's Orchardsummerfruit business in time for the 2024/2025 season.As a fifth generation family-run business based in Alexandra, Hinton's is a 159ha orchard famous for growing cherries, apricots, nectarines, peaches, plums, and peacharines for consumers in New Zealand and Asia.The Hinton family have a wonderful history with T&G and this acquisitionsupports our strategy of building our supply in key categories.
About the opportunity We're seeking aCommercialManager for Hinton's Orchard,a career-defining opportunity for a seasoned business leader to make their mark. Reporting to T&G Fresh's Managing Director, you'll lead the Hinton's Orchard team across growing, packhouse, administration, and sales.
Key responsibilities include:

Manage key commercial relationships to drive growth and profitability for both export and domestic markets Lead and develop an engaged, high-performing team with acontinuous improvement mindset Proactively seek out opportunities to improve production, reduce cost, and drive efficiency Financial management acrossOPEX and CAPEX Strategic planning including supply / volume forecasting Lead the Growing operation to ensure crops meet quality and quantity specifications Lead Packhouse and Administration operations to ensure delivery of packed finish product to key customers This role is based in Alexandra, Central Otago.
