As a Senior Start-up Lawyer, your reason for being is to deliver premium legal services to clients in a way that is meaningful and relatable for start-ups. Youll go to sleep at night dreaming of new ways to connect with the founders and youll wake up in the morning excited and ready to implement initiatives to turn those dreams into reality. As well as immersing yourself in the trenches of start-up life alongside the founders, youll be working hard to build the legal practice and stay one-step ahead of the curve to ensure LUNA is providing a fresh and innovative service. You will also work closely with the Head of Legal and other Senior Start-up Lawyers, to manage and mentor junior lawyers in the team to take the business to the next level.
The role in a nutshell:
- You will report to the Head of Legal & Operations
- Legal service delivery with a focus on servicing top clients and working to deliver complex legal tasks.
- You will mentor and assist junior lawyers.
- You will attend and rep LUNA at start-up and social enterprise events.
- You will become an expert and leader in all things start-up law, investment and consulting.
- You will meet with LOTS of founders!
What youre packing on your CV:
- LLB or JD qualification
- At least 2 years PQE, in commercial law, with experience gained at a mid or top tier firm.
- Proven track record in client facing legal work with a natural ability to communicate with and relate to clients.
- Incredible attention to deal.
- Huge passion for early stage businesses, start-ups and entrepreneurship.
- You love working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
For a few bonus points:
- You have worked across Slack, G Suite and Trello.
- Experience working in and managing teams or individuals.
- You have had some professional exposure to IP and Trade Marks.
