Collection Manager

Our Collection Manager is retiring after many years of service, and we need someone new to lead the acquisition, management and discovery of scholarly content to meet the teaching, learning and research needs of Massey University staff and students. Reporting to the Associate University Librarian, Resources and Technology, the Collection Manager leads our dedicated and service-oriented Collections team, contributes to the strategic direction of Library services as a member of Kapa Rautaki | Library Leadership Team, and works with friendly and collaborative staff across all our libraries.Achieving success in this role requires:Experience in leading and managing a team of staff.Practical experience in current approaches and challenges involved in negotiating acquisition of scholarly content.Extensive knowledge of collection metadata, library services platforms, discovery services and digital workflows, in order to make content as discoverable and accessible as efficiently and effectively possible.The position is at our Manawatu campus in Palmerston North.#J-18808-Ljbffr
