Cloud Engineer

A great opportunity for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. About the role: This is a varied and hands on role working with the team providing your expertise to support our Azure platform and associated cloud services at PGG Wrightson. Key to the role will include problem anticipation and resolution at an enterprise level, contributing to the transition of new projects into operations, implementing and enforcing security best practices, including identity and access management, network security, and data encryption, and working closely with outsource partners when required to deliver seamless services to PGW internal and external customers. We currently have a mixed infrastructure estate ranging from IaaS managed services to M365, Azure and mixed SaaS providers. With a current ERP consolidation programme underway (to D365), our Azure footprint is set to expand as our IaaS platforms are decommissioned. You will be part of an experienced infrastructure operations team of five and will also work closely with our experienced Security team. You will be responsible for existing Azure services and new cloud architectural concepts and designs, working with the infrastructure team, Technical and data Architects, security team, and external partners and SMEs. To be successful in the role you will need: Strong communication, customer service skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.A degree level Business qualification, or 5+ years' experience in Azure cloud servicesKnowledge and experience with Azure services, management of VMs including catering for varying workload requirements, auto scaling and load balancing solutions, virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups (NSGs).Working knowledge of Azure storage platforms, data redundancy and replication capabilities.Experience with configuring and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems to identify and resolve issues related to performance, security, and availability, including optimising Azure resources for cost and performance efficiency.Solid understanding of enterprise applications and integration with Azure AD for single sign-on (SSO) capabilities.The skills, knowledge, and ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.#J-18808-Ljbffr
