We're a large teamof over 60 Occupational Therapy professionals who also work closely with thewider multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.The Clinical Team Leader is integral to our leadership team,working closely with our other Clinical Team Leaders and the Clinical Managerto lead and improve clinical services in the Older Person's Health and RehabilitationDivision. A core component of this position will be contributing to daily operationalplanning and service improvement initiatives, as well as holding a clinicalcaseload within our Older Person's Health team.This is apermanent full-time opportunity working Monday – Friday approximately 0730 –1600.Ko wai koe | About YouInthis role, you will be responsible for:Ensuring theday-to-day provision of a high-quality clinical service, primarily within ourolder people rehabilitation area with multiple diagnosis and conditions,all of whom require rehabilitation to discharge safely.Workingclosely with the leadership team and wider multidisciplinary colleagues toidentify and implement service improvement initiatives.Maintaining adesignated clinical case load; within  Older Person's inpatient services.Supportingand fostering the development of approximately 8-10 direct report Occupational Therapyteam members.Undergoing ongoingexperience and education in team leadership.Yourskills will include:A soundclinical background in a rehabilitation hospital setting (a minimum of 5 years'experience post-qualification is desirable);Anunderstanding of core business needs of Occupational Therapy serviceprovision;Previousexperience in leading a team and/or project management is desirable;Sound workingknowledge of local, national and international health systems is stronglydesired;Provenexperience in training and supervision of staff with the ability to fosterand support the development of a team both collectively and on an individualbasis;Registrationwith the Occupational Therapy Board of NZ and current APC is essential (oreligibility to obtain)."Ko nga tangata, te matua mahi - Putting people at the heart of all we do"Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, leads the day-to-day running of our health system across New Zealand, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.
