CM Health is offering 5 Clinical Psychology Internships next year!
If you are currently completing your doctorate degree studies, we would like to invite you to apply to our internship.
Our Mental Health services provide a range of integrated and comprehensive mental health assessments, treatments interventions and support for service users residing in the Counties Manukau catchment area. We aim to truly make a difference in the multicultural community that we serve.
Internships will be available across the following services:
Maternal Mental Health
Maternal Mental Health is a specialist district wide service offering assessment, treatment and advice for women who have developed mental illness during, or related to the perinatal period. This service is based in East Tamaki.
Matariki / Nga Raukohekohe (split internship)
This split internship at two Adult Community Mental Health & Addictions Teams will be based at Matariki (Otahuhu) on Monday and Tuesday and at Nga Ruakohekohe (Pukekohe) on Wednesday and Thursday. Both services provide a range of integrated and comprehensive mental health assessments, treatment interventions and support for adults experiencing mental health issues. Matariki is a mainstream CMHC with a focus on Pasifika service provisions.
Te Rawhiti
Based in Highland Park, Te Rawhiti is an Adult Community Mental Health & Addictions Team. They provide specialist mental health care for those with serious mental health problems and provide consultation and liaison with primary care partners for those with mild to moderate concerns.
Taunaki - CAMHS north
Based in Otahuhu, Taunaki is a CAMHS service with a focus on Pasifika service provisions. They offer assessments and interventions for children and youths presenting with neurodevelopmental, behavioural, social and/or mental health issues in the Northern district of CM Health.
Te Puawaitanga - CAMHS South
Based in East Tamaki, Te Puawaitanga has a strong focus on bicultural models of care in the Southern district of CM Health. It provides assessment and treatment for tamariki/rangatahi and their whaanau. This is a multi-disciplinary team with a variety of opportunities including individual, family and group work, participation in a DBT programme, within an integrated model of care, working closely alongside schools, CYFS and other agencies.
Essential:
Eligible to register in the intern scope of practise with the NZ Psychology Board
A full clean driver's license

Important dates to remember:
Candidates will be informed if they have been shortlisted for an interview late October or early November
Interviews will take place between4 and 5 November. If you are not in Auckland on these dates, interviews can be conducted via Skype/Zoom
The start date for these internships will be in March 2020
