Here, you can make an impact on your community and on your own professional development – all whilst enjoying a flexible and healthy work-life balance.Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and holds stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Maori as Tangata Whenua as the highest priority.About the roleWe are looking for an exceptional Registered Psychologist with a special interest in ICU and experience in therapy with people with physical health difficulties and concerns.This role will:Provide high quality psychological services within a multi-disciplinary team within the Whangarei Intensive Care UnitProvide assessment and treatment of clients in Whangarei ICUProvide staff training / facilitation to enhance health outcomes for patients while also contributing to staff wellbeingThis is a new permanent, part-time position working 20 hours per week.Key requirementsRegistered Psychologist with a current NZ practicing certificateComprehensive psychological assessment and treatment skillsMinimum of 12-months clinical experience working with clients with complex health needsGood time management and the ability to prioritise workloadTo be successful in this role, you will need to have working knowledge and commitment to Tikanga, a commitment to work in a culturally and ethically safe manner, and strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.Interesting and wide variety of work involved to keep you engaged and motivatedPlenty of professional development opportunitiesBe a part of a dynamic and supportive multi-disciplinary team environmentFlexible working hours Monday to FridayThis is a new position within the ICU, giving you opportunities to really take ownership of the growth of yourself and the roleA career with Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau will see you action meaningful change in the region we love, and in your professional development – all whilst enjoying everything the stunning North has to offer.
