About the role
We seek a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to inspire and lead our client's Team. The psychologist is responsible for providing highly specialist psychological assessment and interventions to patients with complex mental health difficulties. TACT psychologists will work closely with other clinicians with regard to complex case formulation and therapy interventions as appropriate in order to contribute to care planning. Professional Development is also supported through contract provisions. This is a permanent, part-time role. Your Role responsibilities would include:
Providing high-quality clinical psychology services in the assessment and treatment of clients, ensuring clients' needs are met culturally, clinically, and legally safely. Clinical psychology is a discipline integrating psychological and associated science, theory, and practice to understand and alleviate human suffering and disability and to promote individual and family/whanau development, adaptation, and recovery.
What We're Looking For: Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology or equivalent Registration with the NZ Psychology Board as a Registered Psychologist with a Clinical Scope of practiceCurrent Practicing CertificateProven psychological, psychometric and neuropsychological assessment skills Ability to work in a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and demonstrate values consistent with those of the MHAIDS Services.Committed to working within the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Capacity to practice in a manner that engages tangata whaiora/consumers/whanau from various cultural backgrounds.Ability to work effectively with partner agencies in the community to meet a diverse range of needs.Demonstrates competence in communicating with a wide range of people, and leads meetings and documents outcomes and plansExperience in the field of mental health is essential.
