HealthSource NZ supports the Northern Region’s DHBs by providing finance, procurement, product management, supply chain, data and payroll services. As an independent organisation, we partner seamlessly with the District Health Boards, ensuring that critical services and products are available to hospitals with minimum fuss and with maximum efficiency. We have an exciting 12 month fixed term opportunity for aClinical Product Coordinatorto join our Product Management Team.
About the role
Providing support to the HealthSource Product teams you will act as the interface between HealthSource and suppliers, communicating with internal and external stakeholders as necessary for new medical devices introductions, product substitutions, implementation projects, product changes and the evaluation and introduction of any new medical devices for use within the four Northern Region District Health Boards.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Co-ordinate the evaluation & implementation of new medical devices.
Assist the team and DHBs in finding substitute and alternative medical devices
Assessment and review of clinical research/literature regarding best practice and new product suitability
Assist the sourcing of safe and cost-effective medical devices to enhance and support current clinical performance
Ensuring products introduced to the NR DHBs are compliant with Medsafe Regulatory requirements
Communication of product changes and associated supply chain to all stakeholders
About You
We are looking for a self-motivated person with a clinical background, who seeks to gain or enhance business skills and experience. You will also possess the following:
Demonstrable experience in a relevant, recognised health care area- may include ‘medical-technical’ disciplines such as hospital laboratory staff.
Degree, Diploma or “on the job training” (depending on experience & skills)
MS Office suite experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent relationship management skills with a proven ability to build & maintain effective business relationships
Experience at supporting a small multifunctional team with changing priorities
