A fantastic senior pharmacy leadership role has become available for an experienced pharmacist to lead our progressive and innovative clinical pharmacy team.
As the lead for Clinical Pharmacy Service you will be responsible for managing the operations of our large clinical pharmacy service and directing its strategic goals. You will also be responsible for people and performance development. The aim of the clinical pharmacy service is to provide high quality evidence based and patient centred pharmaceutical care, on time, every time. A key focus for our department and organisation is to innovate and continuously improve to deliver our organisational aims and be a leader in healthcare delivery.
The ideal applicant will be a skilled clinical pharmacist with demonstrated history of leading and developing clinical pharmacists, systems and processes. As the Clinical Pharmacy Manager it is essential that you have a high level of interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to engage, negotiate, collaborate and maintain relationships both within and outside the department. Preferred candidates will have experience with change management, quality improvement and supporting staff performance. In this role you would also be required to provide some hands on clinical responsibilities. You will be supported by clinical pharmacy team leaders and the pharmacy management team.
Essential criteriaRegistered pharmacist with valid APC
Minimum 5 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist preferably at senior or specialist level
Experience with developing people and systems
Postgraduate qualifications in pharmacy and/or management
Middlemore Hospital is a large tertiary hospital with a well-developed clinical pharmacy service.
