About the role
We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Ophthalmology team at Nelson Marlborough Health (NMH). The role is based at Nelson Hospital and will work closely with the other members of the Ophthalmology team across the district, with specific focus on Aging Macular Degeneration. The position is guaranteed to be both challenging and rewarding as we grow the service to meet the needs of our patients.

About you
The successful applicant with bring the following skills and experience:
A minimum of five years clinical expertise within ophthalmology in tertiary or secondary care.
A post-graduate nursing qualification, or working towards a clinical masters of nursing, ideally with a focus on ophthalmology nursing.
Advanced nursing practice skill, knowledge and capability - evidenced through participation in service and care planning within multidisciplinary teams of professionals, focused on effective delivery of care to this specialised client group;
Proven leadership, teamwork and collaboration skills integral to continuity of service delivery;
Good time management skills and ability to manage work in a planned and coordinated manner.
