Cancer Services: Upper GI/HPB
Permanent, Part Time (0.4 FTE)
Wehave an exciting opportunity for an additional senior nurse role in UpperGI/HBP cancer. You will be working alongside the full time Clinical NurseSpecialist in Upper GI/HBP cancer, clinicians, other senior nurses and thesurgical team to co-ordinate the care and management of patients with UpperGI/HBP cancer.
Thesuccessful candidate will:
Have 5 years post registration experience and have achieved RN Level 3, or equivalent
have experience working with cancer patients and their families
Be a key support for patients and carers
Work closely with senior medical and nursing staff
Undertake holistic needs assessments, provide advice and psychosocial support for patients
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, initiative, enthusiasm, a sound work ethic and a demonstrated commitment to the provision of safe and appropriate patient / family focused health care delivery
Be able to work across both Waitakere and North Shore Hospital sites
