Permanent, Full time - 1.0 FTE (40hrs per week, Monday to Sunday)
Are you looking to work in a modern, world renowned tertiary hospital that provides a comprehensive orientation and ongoing education in a supportive team based environment?
We are seeking a senior registered nurse with strong leadership and advanced nursing skills for the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Surgical Services Team, with a strong interest inGeneral Surgery.Your primary focus will be to provide specialist nursing care and/or case management when required to the Acute Surgical patient population.
You will deliver professional and clinical leadership, patient care co-ordination, education and clinical teaching to patients and staff. The role covers primary, secondary and tertiary care of complex patients.
The successful applicant will have extensive general surgical nursing experience and be practicing at a senior level preferably with a postgraduate certificate or diploma in speciality nursing practice.
We are looking for a proactive person who is ready for a new challenge and a chance to take a step up in their career path.
You will need to work autonomously as well as be part of a supportive senior nursing team committed to effective/evidenced based nursing practice.
It is essential that you meet the following criteria:
Haveat least3-5 years post graduate experience preferably in General Surgical/Trauma
Interact effectively with a multi-disciplinary team and service members
Maintain safe cultural practice and develop your cultural knowledge
Have excellent supervisory, communication and problem-solving skills in order to relate to and work with staff and patients at all levels.
Have NZ nursing registration with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
