Our client is a private hospital provider with 22 theatres across 3 Auckland sites. Due to considerable growth in the organisation, including the construction of a new hospital wing, they have relocated their Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) off-site to a new purpose-built facility in Central Auckland.
This has created an opportunity for a dynamic and commercially savvy Clinical Nurse Manager to lead the CSSD facility team and manage the sterilising service for our client's growing organisation.
Reporting to the General Manager and based at the new CSSD facility, this is a permanent full-time role and a fantastic opportunity to put your OR skills & experience to broader use in a management role.
The Role: Provide site management & clinical leadership for the daily operations of the CSSD and delivery of sterile services to MA operating rooms and external customersAccountable for operational quality and compliance under ISO and AS/NZ standards, including management of inventory, supply chain & distributionLead and grow the capability of the CSSD team, including recruitment, performance management, and the development of a sustainable work cultureOversee compliance of all Health & Safety requirements with a focus on continuous quality improvementDeliver an efficient & effective service that meets strategic plan and service level agreement requirements, resulting in positive clinical outcomes for patients and exceptional customer serviceThe Person: Experienced Theatre Manager with solid working knowledge of sterilisationCSSD certification with NZSSA registration is desirableProven leadership and people management skillsSignificant business acumen, budget management skills and strong focus on quality & complianceConfident, people-centred approach with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationshipsExperience in managing a staff of approx. 35 CSSD Techs and Trainees.
