Class 4 Truck Drivers X2 - Auckland, Nz

J&B Randhawa Transport Limited is seeking Class 4 truck drivers based in Auckland. This is a full-time permanent employment (minimum 40 guaranteed hours from Monday to Friday between 5am and 7pm). Responsibilities will include: Your key responsibilities ·       Carry out transportation of general freight including dangerous goods, bulk deliveries and pickups from freight companies ·       Deliver and pickup goods from the freight companies with an ability to load and unload the truck using lifting and tipping devices, if required. ·       Carry out daily pre-checks of the vehicle and report any faults immediately ·       Report any problems, incidents/ accidents or customer complaints immediately ·       Secure the loads using load binders, chains and straps to prevent loss and damage of the goods ·       Adhere to Land Transport Safety Authority rules and regulations and keep a logbook of the hours worked ·       Keep records of, and check invoices for, goods you deliver/pickup ·       Carry out any other duties as requested by the Managing Director or designated Manager   You will also be responsible to: ·       Observe safe work practices and rules relative to your work and the company will diligently enforce these rules. ·       Adhere to fatigue guidelines ·       Actively contribute to hazard identification and management ·       Participate in health and safety training ·       Adopt safe work practices   Qualifications & experience ·       At least 1 year work experience driving a curtain sider truck or similar truck ·       NZ Class 4 Divers License (or Overseas/International Driver's License with an ability to obtain NZ Class 4 License) ·       Knowledge of how to secure loads using load binders, chains and strops ·       Self-motivated and the ability to work to strict deadlines ·       Good communication skills and a can-do attitude ·       Good time management skills   We have 2 vacancies for this position.
