Also we have skills and machinery in a specilised civil space, contracting further afield.About the RoleWe are looking for someone to bridge the gap between our current operational team and our clients, while also identifying opportunities for new business and generating new work.This is a newly created role, and our vision is that you will work alongside the client to plan out a pipeline of project work, before leading the construction team through to the successful completion in-line with the client's expectations. You will need to step in and get your hands dirty with some field work.This role will be at the top of the organisational chart, reporting to the company directors. An opportunity for a shareholding in the business is a likely scenario for a candidate who performs at a level commensurate with the current shareholders expectations.Position SummaryThe Civil Construction Manager is responsible for leading land developments and infrastructure related projects. The role requires significant liaison with a range of stakeholders including clients, consultants, councils, contractors and suppliers to ensure project deliverables are achieved.You will identify opportunities to improve performance whilst finding economic solutions to resolving problems. This role works closely with the Managing Director to ensure that resources are planned effectively to meet project/customer requirements.About youWe are seeking a degree qualified construction professional or a trade qualified Civil Project Manager with at least 10 years Civil industry experience. You will have:A relevant degree / trade qualification or able to demonstrate suitable Civil experience relevant to the roleAt least ten years' experience with civil construction site practices and processesRelevant risk management and health and safety experiencePeople and team management experience is essentialIn addition, you will have:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers, staff, managers and relevant external partiesAbility to manage multiple projects and taskingsExcellent analytical skills including the ability to analyse, troubleshoot and problem solveAbility to manage budgets associated with projectsAbility to identify and mitigate risksAbility to make informed decisions independentlyHave a high level of accuracy and attention to detailQuality customer service focusBusiness development experience would be an advantageTidy, disciplined and a strong work ethic will help, this is not for the job average civil player!!Why work for BDXSkin in the game.
