Your mission:
Work with a revitalized plan for Tauranga City's CBD that presents significant changes to our public service provisions across a multitude of major infrastructure projectsWork with central and local government, tangata whenua and businesses to deliver our shared visionKeep our City attractive, moving and fit for purpose for the durationTe Turanga | About the role As the City Centre Infrastructure Lead, you will be part of the senior leadership of our Infrastructure division, your primary responsibility is to optimize the service delivery of infrastructure projects in our city centre in order to keep the CBD attractive, functional and efficient.
The key deliverables, for this role are:
Actively collaborate with key; teams, partners and stakeholdersLead the planning and sequencing of works for the infrastructure master planLead the development and implementation of a fit for purpose public transport infrastructureNegotiate and influence a regulatory process that ensures a planned and coordinated approachManage the efficient interface of council run and private projects, while ensuring council services are aligned with a required level of serviceNga Pukenga | What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
Relevant degree in Engineering or similar field10+ years' experience in programme delivery for either; buildings, roads, waters, rails, port Exposure to managing cross functional teamsProven experience in risk and project managementCommercially and politically savvyExperience in effective communication and engagement at governance board levelCapability to take a wide lens approach with a proven experience in facilitation of complex issues resolutionPrevious experience at a local or central Government would be desirableTauranga City Council is one of Tauranga's largest employers, and we are always looking to attract great talent to join our driven, passionate, and community-focused team.
