Southern Discoveries are looking for Mandarin speaking Boat Host/Customer Service stars to join our Milford Sound Cruise Operations.
This position is best suited to a person with a desire to live and work in Milford Sound, accepting the remoteness of the business, and the climatic and environmental factors that occur in Fiordland.
What do we need from you?
Desirable traits: * Previous experience in hospitality.
The role is all about ensuring our operation Milford Sound runs smoothly, and guests have an outstanding experience. We have a lot of fun, but we also work very hard, keeping our vessels clean, safe and welcoming at all times. Ideally you will have experience in food preparation, but if not, we will still consider you if you have other relevant experience, a great attitude, and a really strong work ethic, and can demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness.
In return you will receive training in the specifics of the role, uniform, your own room in subsidised accommodation, and access to a fully stocked communal kitchen. We work a roster of 10 days on and 4 days off (no evening work required), to give you the opportunity to explore this stunning region.
If you are successfully shortlisted you will be invited to Milford Sound for an interview and overnight stay to see if remote living is for you. The position is seasonal, starting late September and finishing in April.
