The Duke of Wellington is going to be Wellington’s newest funkiest Gasto Pub’s and we need hospitality super stars to help us make this happen.

Full time hours over a 7-day week roster you will be experienced in great food in a fantastic atmosphere.

Located in the iconic Hotel Waterloo this new business is joining the Prime Hotels group of operations. We are a family owned business that think people count and empower them to achieve this.

The Position:
We are seeking a Chef to work closely with the kitchen and management leaders and to be part of the team that is going to set new standards at a gastro pub and grow the business.
You will be responsible day to day preparation of food, development of recipes and assistance in running of service.
You have initiative, enthusiasm, creativity and is passionate about cooking and creating amazing meals.

Requirements:
Previous experience in a Chef role
Relevant cookery and food hygiene qualifications
Ability to work unsupervised
Ability to work in a team in a respectful and cohesive manner.
Ability to prepare food as required consistently and to a high standard.
Most importantly, must have a passion for food.

The Location:
The new gastro pub has undergone a massive facelift and makeover. It has one of the best locations in Wellington being close to the train station, close to the Harbour, close to the Stadium and close to town.
It’s the perfect location for afterwork drinks or a leisurely Sunday lunch.
