Work Location: TaurangaEmployment type: Full time (guaranteed 30 hours / per week, roster from Monday to Sunday), PermanentOur pay: $29.66 per hourWe are a well-established restaurant based in Tauranga. To enhance our team, we are now looking for 4 Chef de Parties (CDP) to join our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for food, attention to details, ability to multi task and the speciality in different sections, such as Chinese Barbucue,Hot Line and Cold Larder depending on your skills.Ideal candidates should have at least 3 year's relevant work experience at commercial kitchen, or have a relevant level 4 qualification in cookery or equivalent certificates from overseas.Tasks Include:Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes within the specialty section, such as Chinese barbecue, hot line and cold larderSetting up the kitchen prior to a restaurant's opening and sorting out the orders accordinglyTake orders from the sous chef or head chef on what specialty is being worked on for dinner/lunch servicePlan and develop dishes for their specialty section as required (such as seasonal change) to help Head Chef and Sous Chef to final the menuCleaning and sanitising their area and follow the rules of health and safetyMonitoring supplies, wastage, portion and waste control, and inventory control in theirsections in charge, coordinate and participate with other sections when requiredOperate and maintain all department equipment and report any problemsMonitoring Directs, supervises, assists and coaches commis chefs or kitchen hands assigned to the station when necessaryWe pride ourselves on the quality of our food and the high standard of service we provide.We believe in creating experiences that people will always want more of, inspiring and share worthy.If you believe you have the relevant experience and knowledge, with the enthusiasm to take on this role, please send CV and any supporting qualifications or work experience and apply here.
