We are offering an opportunity for a senior registered nurse to join the Rehabilitation and Care team at Pukekohe Hospital.
Rehabilitation and Care, Pukekohe Hospital is a 20 bed ward which provides inpatient services for older people and is dedicated to improving and maintaining their health and independence. The service is a mix of geriatric medicine, rehabilitation for older people and palliative care for people who may have multiple or complex needs.
We are seeking a motivated nurse leader with geriatric and rehabilitation and /or palliative care experience to lead our nursing team. You will enjoy the challenges that leading a team brings, by demonstrating excellence in clinical practice, management and team collaboration, providing high quality nursing care and commitment to patient focused outcomes. You will have a passion towards the care of our older adults.
This role requires day to day coordination and management in the ward, working collaboratively with the Clinical Manager Southern, Team Leader for Allied health, Allied Health, General Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Director and Nurse Educator.
Patient centred quality initiatives are driven by the Charge Nurse Manager. You will have a “can do” attitude, with the ability to be flexible, adaptable and meet deadlines.
Essential CriteriaNew Zealand Registered Nurse with a Current APC
Post graduate Diploma in a relevant area
Minimum of 5 years post registration with demonstrated leadership
Have a expert or manager PDRP portfolio
Demonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing practice to achieve standards
Experience in Acute Medical/ Surgical, Health of Older People and Adult Rehabilitation Nursing
Experience in staff management
