Te Matapihiplays a crucial role in shaping policies, driving initiatives, and fostering collaborations to ensure equitable access to safe, affordable, and culturally appropriate housing for Maori.Our client is seeking a dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead Te Matapihi into an impactful new era.Te Matapihi isnow uniquely positioned to engage with the government and Maori, and for more than a decade, have successfully built relationships across the Maori housing sector, brokered solutions with government, and developed an acute awareness of the critical interventions urgently needed to address the Maori housing crisis.An exciting opportunity awaits at the forefront of addressing housing challenges facing Maori communities.Te ahua o Te Turunga - The nature of the position.As the CEO, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of providing strategic leadership, spearheading advocacy efforts, and fostering partnerships to elevate the profile and influence of the Maori Housing Peak Body. Your vision, expertise, and commitment will be pivotal in driving organisational mission forward and effecting tangible, positive outcomes for Maori housing initiatives.Overarching, you will become a key player in shaping the future of Maori housing policy and practice and be working to ensure that the housing needs and aspirations of the Maori community are recognised and addressed.Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organisation, including financial management, HR, program development, and performance measurement, you will ensure compliance with relevant regulations and reporting requirements.Fostering collaborative relationships with Maori housing providers, community groups, government agencies, you will promote organisational objectives and facilitate partnerships that benefit the Maori community.Serving as the primary advocate and spokesperson for the organisation, representing the interests of the Maori community in housing-related matters.
