As we embark on our journey to success, we are currently seeking a Catering Assistant to join our team.About the Role – Catering Assistant:Are you passionate about maintaining cleanliness and organisation in a dynamic kitchen environment? The Blue Door is currently seeking a diligent and dedicated individual to join our team as a Catering Assistant.Responsibilities:Maintain clean and tidy working areas to prevent cross-contamination.Thoroughly clean cooking and general utensils used in the kitchen and restaurant areas.Handle tasks such as transferring, weighing, and checking supplies and equipment to support kitchen operations.Assist in assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking.Pack food and beverage trays for efficient serving during busy periods.Undertake cooking, toasting, and heating of simple food items as needed.Ensure the quality and proper storage of food supplies.Report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues.Adhere to health, safety, and food safety legislation.Demonstrate environmental awareness.Qualification, Experience, and Attributes Required:Excellent food hygiene practices.High standard of personal hygiene and presentation.Ability to thrive in a small, high-paced, and high-volume environment.Punctual, organised, and capable of multitasking with attention to detail.Team player with effective communication skills.Pay & Benefits:Full-time permanent employment.Minimum of 30 hours/week guaranteed.Hourly rate ranges between $26.00 -$30.00.Opportunities for professional growth.Flexible and balanced roster ensuring work-life balance.Friendly and supportive working environment.Application Requirements:Applicants must possess a valid work visa or NZ residency/citizenship.
