Category Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, passionate, and driven individual to advance their career by joining our Merchandising Team as a Category Specialist based in Wiri, Manukau. Reporting to the National Category Manager (NCM) this role will assist both the NCM & Product Manager in the Engineering Category, in developing and achieving long-term strategic growth and profitability for the category through:
Supplier and Inventory managementProject management and planningCoordinating implementation of promotional campaigns, other marketing collateral and sales toolsProvide analytical information on new products, suppliers and introduce new products alongside the Product ManagerPrice modelling and forecasting and ensuring data integrity in systemOur Ideal Candidate will: Have a high attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentBe highly commercial and accountable.Be analytical, innovative and understand the importance of data integrity.Be articulate, confident and have the ability to deal with people from a Retail/B2B sales/industrial background.Have the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.Thrive on challenge and have a keen interest in driving your career forward.About Us: NZ Safety Blackwoods is the country's leading supplier of Tools, Engineering, Safety, Workwear, Hygiene and Packaging product, in addition to industry specific training and consulting services.
